John Livesay, Sales Keynote Speaker and Author of “The Sale Is in the Tale”

 

John Livesay, aka The Pitch Whisperer, is a sales keynote speaker where he shows companies’ sales teams how to turn mundane case studies into compelling case stories so they win more new business. From John’s award-winning career at Conde Nast, he shares the lessons he learned that turns sales teams into revenue rock stars. His TEDx talk: Be The Lifeguard of your own life has over 1,000,000 views.

When you tug at people’s heart strings they open their purse strings. Are you telling stories when you create content that do this?

If you want to get an emotional connection, you need to learn how to tell stories so that people see themselves in the story. When this happens, they remember the story and share it with their network.

A good story is clear, concise, and compelling. If your story is confusing, people will ignore it. If your story is rambling, people tune out. If your story pushes facts and figures, people forget it. So the next time you write a piece of content or tell a story, remember to use the 3 C’s as a checklist to make sure your story is clear, concise, and compelling. Remember “The Sale is in the Tale.”
