Look at what most people are doing, and do the opposite! Why? Because the majority of people are taking the easy, lazy approach to social selling. Look at your LinkedIn and email inboxes. How many strangers are taking the time to personalize their outreach and make you smile? 1%, 2%? When you take the time to think outside of the box and personalize your outreach, you’ll stand out. Because hardly anyone is doing that! When you can, compliment people. Make them laugh. Do something different! Make an IMPACT with your outreach. People are tired of getting the same types of messages and emails. And quite frankly, they don’t work. So if you want to actually start meaningful conversations, you have to start acting like it. Put forth some effort and creativity and I promise that you will see traction.
