The Social Sales Link Team discussed engaging on content, and how to “Leverage LinkedIn Polls to Start Conversations.”

Polls are one of the great ways to engage with your audience. By asking specific people about their point of view through polls and by asking the right questions, you create engagement and you start to get insights from your buyers about what matters to them.

Here are some tips and strategies on how to maximize your polls:

* Polls have limited characters on both questions and answers, so you have to make sure to be very concise. Create your poll answers in the order of importance or priority because you can only create four options per poll and your audience can only select one also.

* Create a compelling caption to your post, you can start off by sharing the statistics you have found, what inspired you to create the poll, and end it with an invitation to vote. You can also use hashtags and mention the people (assuming you have the permission) you think will engage on your poll.

* Another way to get more engagement on your poll is to send it to your connection’s inbox. Prepare a message with an invitation and let them know that you have published a poll, attach the poll on your message so they don’t have to find it.

Things you will learn in this episode:

If you are looking for engagement from your targeted audience, consider using LinkedIn Polls. Ask poll questions that your buyers want to engage on and that will give you insights to help you start conversations with your voters.  The key to getting votes is to share the poll in a personal message with those you would like to engage with… ask them for their point of view!”
