In this episode, the Social Sales Link Team talked about the four ways that non-writers can create content for LinkedIn. These are capturing your genius through a video, creating a poll, capturing other people’s genius, and leveraging your transcriptions for content creation.

Did you know that we can create content on LinkedIn even if we are not writers?  Bob talked about one of the four ways which is creating a poll.  If you are having a hard time thinking about what to post next, you can simply ask your audience what they are interested in. Polls are awesome engagement generators.  It’s as easy as asking your question, then list up to four answers that your audience can choose from and comment on if they wish to do so.

As for Sally Jo, she said that another way to create content for non-writers is to capture your genius through a video.  Start a conversation by asking your audience about their thoughts on a certain topic that you’ve heard or read. Is this an “aha” moment for you?  If it is, then maybe it is also an “aha” moment with your audience.  It is important to note that the topic is something that your audience should care about. If you do that, you will not only capture your genius but your audience’s genius as well.

In addition, Bill discussed that another way to create content even if you’re not a writer is by capturing other people’s genius.  You can do this by interviewing your prospects or clients by inviting them to a Zoom meeting. Prepare your topic that is interesting to your target audience and record your conversation. Clients are great guests because they are already your raving fans. While interviewing prospects is a fantastic way to re-engage and find out what they care about. Lastly, you can also interview people or subject matter experts within your company.  This is very valuable in leading your prospects to realize the solutions you can provide.

Finally, Brynne said that another way to create content for non-writers is by leveraging your transcriptions.  Checking back into Bill and Sally Jo’s tips, once you have the Zoom video, there’s a little checkmark there that you can tick to automatically create transcriptions for your videos. From the transcription, you can grab one-liners then create graphics or a WordArt image and put it up on a post.  Another way is to create a poll about the content you posted. You can also grab the transcription, write a blog post, and apply search engine optimization to it.  In addition, edit the video to be under ten minutes and it can be posted on LinkedIn or YouTube with the transcript or subtitles embedded in it.  There are so many things that you can do even if you’re not a writer!
