In this episode of Making Sales Social Live, the Social Sales Link team talked about “LinkedIn for Networking.”

Things you will learn in this episode:

* When using LinkedIn for networking, you should write a short introduction paragraph for your networking partners to use when they are introducing you to potential prospects. Give them permission to put it into their own words, but give them some direction as to how you’d like to be introduced. This will make the introduction process easier and more seamless for them.

* It is your networking partners that can really help you get in front of your prospects at a high level of credibility. And, with LinkedIn, you can help your partners identify who it is you’d like to meet. Simply search their connections, make a list of people you’d like to meet, and run the names by them. About 25% of those people your connection will know well enough to either make an introduction or give you permission to drop their name when reaching out.
