In this episode…

In this episode, the Social Sales Link Team talked about how to nurture your existing connections on LinkedIn. They talked about three ways of how to nurture your existing connections on LinkedIn.  These are taking inventory by exporting connections, taking inventory by searching, and re-engaging with your first degree connections with video messages and content.

Did you know that we can nurture our existing connections on LinkedIn?  Bill talked about one of the three ways which is taking inventory by exporting connections.  This involves connecting back with your CPR – clients, prospects, and referral partners.  This method involves going to your LinkedIn profile and downloading and exporting your connections.  You will get a CSV or Excel type format file then you can see details of your connections such as their First Name, Last Name, Email, Company, Position, and Connection Date.  You can also add more columns to the file such as if they are your Customers, Prospects, or Referral Partners.

As for Bob Woods, he said that another way to nurture our existing connections is to take inventory by searching your LinkedIn profile page.  This involves going to your LinkedIn profile, utilizing the Search function, and filtering for your First-Degree Connections.  It is better to prioritize re-engaging with your First-Degree Connections first, rather than your prospects and referral partners. Once you have that, you can further search by School, Industry, Profile, Language, Service Categories, and other relevant keywords such as Title.

Finally, Brynne said that another way to nurture our existing connections is by re-engaging with your first-degree connections with video messages and content.  It is important to re-engage back with our first-degree connections because we are already connected and we can instantly send them a message. A great way to send them a message is through video using your mobile app.  Be sure to smile first because this serves as the thumbnail of your video before your connection opens up the message.  This is a quick and effective way to re-engage with a personalized video message.  A good topic to start a conversation is by talking about your connections’ industry or their clients’ industry.  You may also send a little note with the video message.
