Use Symbols to Spice Up Your LinkedIn Profile

Throughout my LinkedIn training career, I have worked on thousands of profile makeovers. I am always working toward ensuring that my client’s branding message is coming across, that the first impression the viewer sees is the right one, and that the experience was exactly what would engage their prospect to raise their hand and say talk to me.

Adding symbols was always a point of debate. Was doing so too goofy, too “high school,” or too unprofessional? Or did adding symbols catch the eye, bring people in, and get them interested? It is still the topic of discussion, but I believe if used well and sparingly, symbols can and do have their place on your LinkedIn profile.

Below is a comprehensive list of symbols that you can quickly copy and paste in your headline, About section, or anywhere else where you are looking to stand out. If you do add symbols to your profile, please share them with me. I love to see how others use them!
